"The Big House"

This newly appointed and updated unit offers three bedrooms with four double beds and can sleep up to eight people. The full bath has a shower/tub and there is an extra bathroom with a shower available to both rentals. The large kitchen is well equipped and includes a microwave, new 40" range and a new refrigerator as well as new cookware, dishes, glassware and silverware. All new mattresses, box springs and linens were added in late 2006. The spacious living room has a newly upholstered sofa with two matching chairs, ample reading lamps and a woodburning fireplace for cool evenings or creating a warm atmosphere. Enjoy  watercolor paintings by local artist Charles Mulvey, select a book from the small library, play one of the board games or enjoy a movie on cable TV or the VCR/DVD player.  There is free WiFi for those of you who want to stay connected while enjoying a relaxing vacation at Hewitt House.

For the comfort of all of our guests we are a non-smoking establishment.  We also ask that open candles not be used for safety reasons. We are pet friendly but we do require a $25 one time non-refundable pet fee.  Both rental units are heated by electric heat and a large capacity washer/dryer are available.

The property is located in a quiet neighborhood and there is plenty of lighted off-street parking.  It is a short walk to the beach and the new Lewis and Clark Discovery Trail on a paved path adjacent to sand dunes, beach grass and a small grove of trees.  Deer and other wildlife can often be spotted in the early morning or evening hours. The swingset is a great place to enjoy the beautiful and peaceful surroundings.
