The Big House Vacation Rental

The upper floor is for the owner's use only and is not rented out to our guests. This well appointed and updated unit will accommodate a maximum of eight people. There are three bedrooms with four double beds. The full bath has a shower/tub combo. The large, remodeled kitchen is well equipped and includes an over-the-range microwave/vent, electric range and a full-sized refrigerator as well as cookware, dishes, glassware and silverware. The spacious living room includes board games, ample reading lamps and a gas fireplace for cool evenings or creating a warm atmosphere. 

Enjoy watercolor paintings by local artist Charles Mulvey, select a book from the small library, play one of the board games or enjoy a movie on cable TV or the VCR/DVD player. There is free WiFi for those who want to stay connected while enjoying a relaxing vacation at Hewitt House.

For the comfort of all of our guests we are a non-smoking establishment. We also ask that open candles not be used for safety reasons. We welcome a well behaved dog that is crate trained, with thoughtful owners.

There is a laundry room that is available to guests in both homes.

The property is located in a quiet neighborhood and there is ample lighted off-street parking. It is a short walk to the beach and the Lewis and Clark Discovery Trail on a paved path adjacent to sand dunes, beach grass and a small grove of trees. Deer and other wildlife can often be spotted in the early morning or evening hours.

Please note that we only rent the main floor of the Big House.
